Lynda went to NY,NY

I was left by my wife for a week and survived! Lynda had planed a trip with some friends to New York since last October. She said she had a great time, saw three broadway plays, toured Carnigie Hall, and road the Statin Island ferry. I was fine by my self, since my mother came Tuesday and stayed till friday. I would have pictures of NY but Lynda uses a 35mm camera and she has not developed the pictures yet.
I have been changed on the type of chemo I am on. I take pills every day instead of injections twice a week. It is all because of neuritis in my legs that cause aching pain. They really don't know if it is the meds or the myeloma.
I am looking forward to seeing my family for my nephews graduation party on June 20th. We are all going to play golf and go out to eat. It makes me feel older when baby sisters kids are going off to college.
Love you all
Bob

Katie comes home

We had a wonderful time this past week, because my niece came home for a week from France. She is helping to start a church in Marseille, France. She has been gone for a year and a half. We met her at the airport and she has had friends and family around her all week. Katie has so many friends just because she lights up a room when she walks in. Always joyful and loving, Katie is the kind of person everyone wants to be around. She told me of all the places she has visited in Europe on her journey. I think she has developed a case of wonderlust. It may be hard for her to go back to Lufkin and work at Cheddar's, after seeing the piramids and St. Peter's in Rome. Whatever she does I know she will be happy and bring joy to all those around her. Of course I was hoping she would develope a better appreciation of food in France than Chili's and Chick fil-a.

Nieces and nephews

I guess I'm old now that my little sisters son is going to the senior prom. He is going off to college in the fall. My niece Katie is coming home for a week this Wednesday from her two year mission trip to Marseille France. I just keep going to see doctors. I've been having neuritis in my legs. It is like having restless leg syndrome all the time. One doctor said it may be from a small herniated disc while another doc says it is from the chemo. They just give me medicines that make me drunk. Hopefully all of this will be resolved when I get my plasma cell transplant. I just want to be able to enjoy my family when Katie comes to town. It really is the most important thing we have, the love of family. I am blessed to have sisters with such wonderful families. I hope I have brought something to their lives, because they have brought so much to mine. I am proud of how well all my nieces and nephews have turned into such upstanding and good people.
Proud to be Uncle Bob.
